I thought I would put a page on my website with a little bit about me on it. So here it is!!!

My name is Richard Tiffany and I am a graduate of Durham University. I studied Software Engineering in Computer Science.

Whilst in Durham I discovered the world of technical theatre (doing a lot of different jobs in the theatre to ensure that the production is as successful as possible.). My last adventure at University was being appointed Head of Lighting for DST (Durham Student Theatre) as well as being the Technical Director of Trev's Musical for a second year running.

I am now working full time for a company called Hi-Lights, who provide lighting, sound and AV support to the North East. Having done so much theatre work whilst at Uni I was really pleased when the offer of work came through! I am working as an events technician which basically means that I get to go here, there and everywhere rather than being tied down in an office or warehouse. It allows a lot of variety to sneak into my line of work and keeps me constantly on my toes. I am still in touch with many people at Durham University, mainly because I still live in Durham and have a girlfriend who is still a student here, but also because Hi-Lights do a lot of work for the colleges here in Durham. I am originally from a lovely little area of North Yorkshire in the space between Leeds and York called Sherburn-in-Elmet, where I lived from the age of 4 to the present day. I am a Northern lad through and through, enjoying the delights of drinking with mates and nights out!

I will leave it at that for now, but I am sure that I will be adding numerous other bits and bobs to this page over the next few months!
